From 19 to 21 March, Gresmanc Group will participate in Rebuild, an event created to encourage and promote new, more sustainable and digital building models at IFEMA MADRID.
In line with sustainability, interest in ceramics in the construction sector is growing by leaps and bounds due to its great potential and the fact that it is a 100% natural material. In this sense, Gresmanc Group presents itself at Rebuild as a benchmark in the manufacture of extruded ceramic construction solutions aimed at different areas and applications in the world of construction.
Design and innovation come together in the systems of our Ventilated façades brand, Favemanc. The most innovative ceramic solutions for façades will be represented at our Rebuild stand.
XXL ceramic slabs: with a format of 1200 x 3000 mm, it is currently the largest ceramic slab on the market for Ventilated façadess. It resolves the possibility of being installed from slab to slab, following the demand from the architecture sector for materials in large formats that adapt to the needs of the projects.
The double installation system of the XXL panel, horizontal or vertical, together with the great variety of combinations of dimensions and lengths, give this panel great versatility when it comes to cladding any type of façade, as it can be easily adapted to the structural and singular elements of the façade, offering at the same time unquestionable technical advantages.
This multi-format system allows, in turn, the possibility of using and installing different volumetric pieces to create three-dimensional architectural compositions and designs. These designs and volumes in extruded ceramic take control of the aesthetics of the most ambitious projects around the world. Extrusion manufacturing allows us to give shape to architects' ideas and turn them into reality in ceramic.
The ceramic Ventilated façades represents countless benefits and is presented as a commitment to sustainable renovation. The choice of ceramic Ventilated façades to refurbish buildings becomes the most sustainable option both for the energy savings it represents and for the fact that ceramic is one of the materials that generates the least waste throughout its life cycle, leaving a smaller carbon footprint. In addition, Favemanc's ceramic slabs have a photocatalytic effect that gives them decontaminating and self-cleaning properties.
Another added value of Favemanc's ceramic Ventilated façadess is the crucial role they play in mitigating the urban heat island effect. Our ceramic is a living ceramic that, due to its own composition, generates a series of benefits and properties in relation to the environment where it is exposed. In this case, when exposed to the sun, our ceramics cause the sun's rays that fall on its surface to be reflected in a greater proportion than the reflection that occurs on other materials, and this happens regardless of the colour of the ceramic surface finish.
In accordance with ASTM E1980-11, some of our products have been tested for Solar Reflectance and Solar Absorbance (SR) according to ASTM E903-12, and for thermal emissivity according to ASTM C1371-15. As a result, we have achieved a high Solar Reflectance Index (SRI). Our products are designed to reflect a significant amount of sunlight, thus minimising heat absorption. This makes Favemanc façades an ideal choice for architectural projects seeking to address the challenges of the urban heat island effect.
Beyond the Ventilated façades, our extruded clinker solutions for swimming pools and stairs will also be represented at our stand to show the endless possibilities of extruded clinker in the field of architecture and construction.
